Don’t forget, historic Route 66 runs through this town, where you can spend time in the shops of Nob Hill and Old Town or observe the redevelopment of downtown.

Albuquerque offers an exciting array of activities for all ages and interests. There is a range of activities for any visitor, from mountain biking and hiking to playing a rousing game of golf on one of our famed golf courses, or perhaps taking a tour of one of Albuquerque’s vineyards or browsing museums and galleries. Cheering on one of the minor league or college sports teams is a great way to spend a weekend afternoon. Every October, hundreds of thousands of hot air balloon enthusiasts converge in the Duke City for the International Balloon Fiesta. This is the most photographed event in the world.

Mild or fiery, there’s nothing like New Mexican cuisine! Albuquerque offers a variety of dining options from the quaint and casual atmosphere to the elegant ambiance of one of our finer restaurants. About Santa Fe

It’s the chic and stylish center of the Southwest, and capital of New Mexico, it’s Santa Fe. The “City Different” is the oldest capital city in the United States. Santa Fe has served as the site of a Native American congress, a Spanish province, a Mexican Territory, a Confederate enclave during the Civil War, and as the capital of the 47th state.

Besides its historical heritage, Santa Fe is now a true center for the arts. It is home to the Santa Fe Opera and the third largest art market in the United States, following New York and Los Angeles. These are just a few reasons why the capital city has become one of the top 10 tourist destinations in America.

Ski Santa Fe is a very popular place for both the expert and novice skier. Located just about an hour from San Pedro Overlook, the area offers more than 45 runs for the skier or snowboarder. The 660 acres have a vertical drop of 1,703 feet and get an average annual snowfall of 225 inches. No ski village here, but Santa Fe is within easy reach and you can stop off at Ten Thousand Waves, a terrific Japanese-style spa, for a soak and a massage on your way back to town. For more information on the area, please visit www.santafe.org.
